Crab Inspired White Button-up

This project was created at the start of Spring 2022 during my Junior year at school. We were asked to look at a form and create a button-up that is inspired by it. While looking any many different forms I decided on the shapes and sharp edges of a crab. The collar of this white shirt is inspired by the long parts of the claws. The sleeves were created to look like a claw at the end of the arm. The bodice is loose and not fitted because crabs are very wide and I thought with a larger bodice the sharp implements of the collar and sleeves would look better.
